Our Story

A letter from our founder

Hi, I’m Francesca, the founder and herbalist behind Cosmos Ancestral Drinks. I started Cosmos with my partner Santiago out of a deep reverence and connection to the Earth, and a desire to share the ancestral wisdom passed down through generations.

I’m Peruvian-American and live in Costa Rica, where I handcraft Cosmos with my team. Inspired by the curanderos, shamans, and medicine people of Latin America, I began crafting herbal drinks in my apothecary kitchen in the Santa Eulalia Valley of Peru.

When my father-in-law could no longer drink alcohol due to cancer, I sought to create something that would let him keep enjoying the social feeling of drinking while receiving the benefits of powerful, healing herbs.
